this is the time to take more action for the planet. there is no time to waste
Saving Earth
Protecting the environment and the planet starts with you. With your help, we can reduce carbon emmisions, use less energy, and do things productively, in a way which will help the environement and the habitats for animals around us. Scattering litter on sides of roads, not putting it in the bins. It is getting out of habit. All of these plastics left on the side of the road, gets scattered up near waters and eventually get trapped in sealife, making animals underground and underwater, stuck without freedom. With the help of you, we can make our planet alot better, being more productive, and using less emisions makes all the difference. Starting today. We will save the Earth.
We don't have to accept the doom and gloom for the Earth. Together, we can slow down the crisis of climate change, and biodiversity loss. This is the wake-up call, for everyone, to act with great urgency to make the Earth better.
Our planet faces the interconnected crises of rapid climate change and biodiversity loss. We experience years, not decades, which we can address these existential threats to the climate. Science points us to the better path, for building more sustainable hope for the future of the Earth.
A future in which catastrophic climate change is kept at key while we still power in the developing world. A future in which we can feed thousands and thousands of people worldwide, from all over the world, providing cleaner, more abundant drinking water while also protecting life-giving lands, lakes and rivers. A future in which a nature's heart beat strong through healthy wildlife and magnificent landscapes while the cities are strengthened by harmony with nature.
A future in which people and nature combine together. What we do between now and 2025 will determine whether scientists will agree to avoid the worst impact of climate change in the UK, while keeping on top with enough land and water to slow accelerated species loss. This vision of the future is achievable, but we must join together, and put in as much effort as possible, to make the climate turn into reality.
Urgent action is essential. We must change the course of history and seize the unprecedented opportunities. The international community, is preparing to make the path-defining choices for the future, with once-in-a-lifetime agreements that have a power to stop the catastrophic climate change and preserve biodiversity on Earth.
Produce More Food on Less Land
The versions of the large scale agriculture is the biggest source of land conversation, driving the deforestation worsening on climate change, using 70% of the world's freshwater supply which relies on the fertilizer practices that pollutes our waters. As we need to feed a billion more people, which increases the agricultural expansion could devastate the habitats, which then releases even more carbon into the atmosphere, and that leads up to drying up rivers, which isn't good for the habitats that can swim around.
To fix these things, we can produce food where it can thrive, which will use less water and less land, which can make the environment better, and saving the planet, making everything environmentally friendly.
Increasing Clean Energy
The problem we are facing is that climate change is the single most serious threat, facing the planet today. We must reduce carbon emissions, and the global energy around it. The global energy demand increasing over 56% over the couple debates, it will be impossible to meet these emissions, if we stick primarily with fossil fuels.
To fix these things, we can shift most of the world's energy supply non-fossil fuel sources and invest in strategies like reforestation that capture carbon dioxide.
We truly do have the power to build a future in which nature and people can thrive together
The more sustainable path is possible. But we need to rally governments, individuals, companies and communities around the world to take action over the next decade. When the planet becomes stable, it gives everyone the strength to show how many people can be with us in becoming economically and environmentally friendly
Climate change
Climate Change is any major in measures of climate, which include temperature, precipitation, rainfall, snow and wind. These changes last for decades and longer. Many factors causing climate change, including human activities through burning fossil fuels, cutting down trees, planting trees and building developments. Climate variability has consequences for sea level changes, plant life, and mass extinctions, which also effects the human societies.
Climate variability includes all of the variations in the climate that last longer than individual weather events, whereas the term climate change refers to the variations that persist for a longer time, decades and even more.
Climate change may refer to any time in the Earth's history, but the term is commonly used to describe contemporary climate change, which has started since the Industrial Revolution.
The climate change system receives nearly all of its energy from the sun and radiates energy to outer space. The balance of incoming and outgoing energy and the passage of the energy through the climate system is Earth's energy budget. When incoming energy is greater than the outgoing energy, Earth's energy budget is positive, and the climate system is warming. If more energy goes out, the energy budget is negative and Earth experiences cooling.
things you can do to protect the Earth
REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle are the three concepts that can promote the sustainable living. They help decrease the amount of waste we throw away and that ends up in the refuse. You can make many changes into your daily life to reduce the amount of waste you produce and live more sustainably
reduce the amount of waste you produce
Everything we consume and produce has an impact on the environment in some way. Many decisions about what we buy can have a huge impact. Cutting down the waste is the best way to help the environment.
The first of the key changes you can make is reducing the packaging on the products that we buy, to make it more environmentally friendly.
The second key change you can make is shopping greener, using these second-hand shops and the cheaper shops, using the essentials, but cheaper, including less petrol to make it more environmentally friendly.
The final key change to reduce the waste we produce is reduce the food waste by planning meals, and composting the kitchen waste, using gardens to do this, we can make them environmentally friendly, bringing the environment closer to home.
reusing items as much as you can before replacing them
Many items found around the home have different purposes. If we reuse items, we avoid disposing of them. Re-using items may look like repairing them instead of replacing them. There are numerous places which can fix things like electrics, textiles, electronics, mechanical goods and more. So not only do we reduce the waste by reusing things, we can also save our money and spend it on something else.
Instead of putting glass in the glass recycling, we can save the glass jars that we have scattered around our houses, we can use them for storing things, which can be more environmentally friendly.
When we have the bottles around the houses, whether this is for coffee or tea cups, we can have reusable ones, which we can refill, and make more environmentally friendly. These can have cups and bottles to refill and reuse more and more too.
When we go shopping, some of us just buy the plastic bags, which have gone up in price, which makes us think about why not save the money and reuse the bags. Like when we go food shopping, we have the carrier bags, which can be reused over and over again, which before hand were made out of something small, which were recycled, into something like a shopping bag, which can turn into environmentally friendly, making the climate change make things a lot better.
When opening packages, and parcels, we just chuck the parcel packaging in the recycling, which is a good thing because it could be recycled into something else. However, we can reuce these items, and make them convert them into homemade envelopes, and also other packaging to send letters and parcels, instead of spending on all of the money on new packaging. This will be helpful if you are running an online business, and the packaging can be helpful when posting.
recycling items whenever possible
We should be recycling a great amount of the waste that ends up in the refuse. We provide all of this recycling on weekdays, to help recycle new things. You can bring recycling to recycling centres in locations all across places. There are charity banks, which can be used for recycling, in car parks and things. The things in the recycling bins are for different clothes charities, different glass recycling, paper recycling, and everything, which then will be recycled into something different. This allows all of our neighbours to recycle as much of their waste as possible. We can check online to see which things we can recycle and what we cant.
Volunteering
Volunteering for cleaning up in the local community and help out protecting the neighbours and make you do the work instead of other people. You can get involved in protecting the local community making sure that everyone is ok, using less of these carbon emissions, and do all of these different community checks, to get the communities together to communicate and have a laugh, changing the emissions for people, and walking instead of drfiving everywhere.
driving less
Driving less can reduce the carbon emissions coming from the cars and vehicles on the road. To make the emissions less, take smaller journeys, or use a bicycle, and other things, which won’t use the emissions. By using the bikes, and taking walks and runs, these can help with your mental health too, going out in the environment and getting the Vitamin D on your skin, making yourself healthier.
Light Sufficiency
It is universally agreed that energy saving light bulbs are good for the environment. Not only do they save significant quality of electricity, but they are long-lasting and therefore don’t result in the high levels of landfill associated with the incandescent bulbs.
CFL bulbs are around four times as efficient as incandescent light bulbs and last up to 10 times longer. Therefore a 20 Watt CFL will offer the same amount of light as a 100-Watt incandescent bulb and will last for around five years. Using an 18 Watt CFL in place of a 75-Watt standard light bulb will save over 500 kWh over its lifetime offering savings of around £25 - far in excess of the initial cost of the CFL - and will prevent half a ton of CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere by power stations.
The environmental case for LEDs is even more outstanding. LEDs are not only mercury free, so they don't contain any hazardous waste, but they're also 300% more energy efficient than fluorescent lights and about 1000% more efficient than incandescent lights. In a study by The Department of Energy in the US have estimated that Led Bulbs could reduce their national energy consumption for lighting by 29% by 2025. That would save households £80 billion on their electric bills and would have a significant positive impact on our global warming, energy and emissions initiatives.
